Get Involved

RAV is a unique and specialist pre-hospital care provider that plays an integral role in the functioning of all regional and rural communities.

Our communities and our people are our priority.

There are a number of ways you can get involved and become part of the dedicated RAV family.

Our paramedics are trained, highly skilled medical professionals at the frontline of our organisation, providing care to patients in wide-ranging situations. RAV is a leader in its field and an employer of choice and our paramedics are at the forefront of RAV’s acclaimed clinical operations and innovative models of service.

Community members in remote areas of rural Victoria can get involved as an Ambulance Community Officer (ACO) or as a member of a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). These volunteers undergo specialised training enabling them to support the ambulance service in responding to emergencies in their communities. RAV has been awarded for its innovative models providing a safer community with the CERT program recognised with state and national Emergency Management Australia awards.

RAV’s Ambulance Auxiliaries are a vital link to the community. Our auxiliaries have been part of ambulance in rural Victoria since 1918 with volunteer members who give generously of themselves to support and enhance local ambulance services in their communities.
