21 May 2008
Rural Ambulance Victoria has now submitted its response to the State Government’s Consultation Paper on the proposed merger of Victorian ambulance services.
Our response aims to provide the new Ambulance Victoria with an understanding of the needs and particular challenges of providing ambulance services in rural and regional Victoria and gives some recommendations for Ambulance Victoria in addressing these challenges.
These recommendations cover the areas of service delivery, governance and strategic direction, duplication of effort and economies of scale, impact for staff, community confidence and engagement and a new identity for Ambulance Victoria.
